Thanks to Peter Cunningham (Marratech) (en anglais seulement)

Peter has just tested our eBeam interactive whiteboard at Formatic seminar and this is what he thinks. I quote him because it looks even brighter than our commercial brochure !

“Well now what about taking the whole classroom with you? If you are a teacher or consultant travelling to give a presentation.

I just tested a product called e-beam www.e-beam.com – basically a virtual smartboard that works with PC and Mac and lets you use Marratech (and other applications) with a tactile whiteboard pretty much anywhere. It works very simply in that it turns your projected screen into a touch sensitive whiteboard.

All you need is a projector and a flat white surface – such as a wall. It works with all projectors and the entire kit fits into a small bag.

It costs less than half the price of a traditional whiteboard and comes with the touch sensitive pens.

It took 5 minutes to set up from scratch with Marratech and it really worked well. I understand that the sensors use the same technology as Hitachi boards.

This could be a great option for Marratech users – a school district could share the e-beam between several schools, or even between different rooms. You wont need a truck to move the whiteboard between classrooms – it could fit in your laptop case
