The Speechi wheel

With the Speechi wheel, specially reinvented, you can manage your presentation seamlessly and elegantely in front of your audience. The wheel appears as soon as you are in PowerPoint slide viewer.

The wheel contains 4 types of buttons :

PowerPoint "shortcuts"

The center buttons (record / pause / stop / previous slide / next slide) let you handle your PPT presentation and your recording.</li>

Annotations

The above commands (Pen, Eraser, Transparent pen) let you annotate your PowerPoint presentation. You can annotate with

  • a mouse (normal PC),
  • a Tablet PC stylet
  • an eBeam Projection interactive stylet, from the projection screen (recommended).

You can pick up pen colors and widths, as well as eraser width, at the bottom of the wheel.

Whiteboard

The whiteboard button lets you access a whiteboard during your presentation.

  • This whiteboard is virtual if you work from a PC or a Tablet PC (recommended). You can use it to answer questions, sketch drawings during your session.
  • This whiteboard is a real physical one if you have connected eBeam system 3 kit in Whiteboard mode.
  • This whiteboard IS your projection screen if you use the « Interactive » mode coupled with eBeam Projection kit. In this case, the whiteboard is both real and virtual !
  • This button is not active in Studio mode because it then takes a different process to insert whiteboard drawings (see “Speechi Studio” chapter)

Tips
While in slide viewer, you can right-click on Mouse and then use « Toggle Wheel » command to hide the wheel or make it visible again.

Go out of PowerPoint in Conference mode

The wheel "PowerPoint" button lets you go out of the slide viewer. Speechi will then start capturing a video of everything that happens on the screen.

Image:SortirdePowerPoint.jpg

You may capture either one-fourth of your screen, or the whole screen or a predefined region of the screen.

Why just a quarter of the screen ? When you leave PowerPoint, we felt that it is better to work with an active screen quarter where you drop all documents, texts, images you want to share. They will be captured by Speechi and automatically integrated into your final presentation.

Outside of PowerPoint, the wheel changes and shows 3 main buttons:

  • Back to PowerPoint : to go back to PowerPoint slide viewer
  • Annotations, eraser : those buttons are unchanged and let you annotate your screen. Annotations are captured by Speechi if Speechi Pro licence is active.
  • Mouse : to go out of "Annotation" mode.
