Conference and Studio Mode

Image:ConferenceStudio.jpg

  1. With Speechi Conference, you record your session live, "as you give it" in front of your audience. Your content is generated together with your conference. You record your class live, in front of your audience, then publish it online, in your blog - or podcast it.

  2. With Speechi Studio, you prepare your content before, and will then publish it for your audience to access it. You prepare, record, annotate your content, slide after slide and will publish online thanks to the publishing wizard. Studio mode is a trial and error mode; you may use it to refine and improve your content.

Speechi becoming more and more flexible in Conference Mode, it is actually possible, today, to refine your content in Conference mode also. However, Studio refining features are generally easier to use. If you are not using Speechi live, in front of your audience, you should use Studio mode.

Speechi and interactive whiteboards (IWB)

Speechi Conference can be used in 3 different modes, depending on how you want to interact with your audience to make your performance look better.

Normal or Tablet PC mode

In this mode, you present from a PC or from a Tablet PC. You interact with PowerPoint using normal PowerPoint commands or using the the Speechi wheel (see below). If you own a Speechi Pro licence, you may also use your PC as a virtual whiteboard and annotate your PowerPoint – your drawings and annotations will be sync’ed with your talk and saved in Flash format, so they can be viewed over the Web in any browser.

This mode is best used with a Tablet PC, which is the ideal tool to sketch drawings and to annotate your PowerPoint seamlessly and nicely.

Whiteboard mode

If you own an eBeam Whiteboard kit, you can use any physical whiteboard equipped with the system to draw or answer questions in front of your audience: your drawings will be captured, sync’ed and saved into Flash.

In this mode, you can use a real whiteboard to present your class or your conference.

No keyboard manipulation is needed to use whiteboard. Our “Autosense” © technology automatically detects that you are writing and handles software accordingly.

Ebeam System 3 Kit contains 4 electronic pens and an eraser, to capture and erase your drawings.

You need a Speechi Pro licence in this mode.

Interactive mode

If you own an eBeam Projection mobile interactive whiteboard, you can project your PowerPoint presentation and interact from the projection wall : the projection wall equipped with eBeam becomes a virtual screen and eBeam « magic » stylet works like a mouse on the projection screen.

With eBeam Projection stylet, you can manipulate you PowerPoint, annotate it, draw on your projection screen, without any keyboard manipulation.

A projector, eBeam Interactive system and Speechi Pro licence are needed to use this mode.

A detailed description of these modes comes in chapter Whiteboard and annotations modes.
